June 8th…June 8th…Hubby and I will see Kenneth Branagh on stage in MacBeth.  Oh, and of course, celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary.  😉 How confident is my hubby to bring me to see Kenneth Branagh on our wedding anniversary?  It should be an amazing show and experience.  The boys were disappointed when they learned that they would not be joining us.  “But, Mom, it’s Kenneth Branagh.”  And they were even excited about the Shakespeare.

And the countdown continues…

Decades day at the boys’ school today. In our house that means New Romantic British Invasion 1980s. Note the following details: earring, interlocked rubber bracelets, and paisley.tmp_image1383928998

cooked by older son, with guidance from Hubby.  The yummiest lunch in the world, ever.  Younger son gave me a beautiful plant for my garden.  And I got to order shoes from zappos.  Not shoes for me actually, but see it doesn’t matter who the shoes are for, it’s the idea of buying shoes.  And Hubby desperately needed new sneakers.

Pets are all being cute.  Except Loki.  She really is the goddess of mischief and is officially on my nerves.  But she’s cute when she’s wreaking havoc.

Now back to Disney Infinity with my boys.

As promised, photos from the LNO in Philly seeing Eddie Izzard. Photos courtesy of Steph. 😉 Et viola!  Top is during intermission, middle during the Q&A after the show, bottom after the show, releasing our inner Eddie!                                                               tmp_IMG_30125927077469271849054 tmp_IMG_301159382163851141430334tmp_IMG_301429402610649604811

Klutzy Toe

tmp_IMG_20140505_232840-1948324683 This is the toe that caused me to trip and fall at work last week. No, not the big toe. That’s what a normal person would trip on. Look at the second toe, you can still see the scrape on the left by the nail.  Yes, I have a klutzy toe.

This is the booboo on my right knee caused by the second toe on my left foot. I was cleaning the booboo last night and kept rubbing what I thought was adhesive residue. I was thinking to myself, damn, Bandaid (as it was an actual Bandaid brand bandage I had removed), that’s some amazing adhesive! But alas, it was actually a bruise that I seriously irritated by scrubbing repeatedly with the washcloth.

Okay, so it wasn’t lunch. It was a Q&A after the show tonight in Philly. I went out for a ladies’ night out with my friends, Steph and Kasie. What does one do on a ladies’ night out? See their favorite transvestite British stand up comedian in Philly. We even drove the wrong way down a one way street, but only for a brief bit, about half a block. And it was the sun’s fault. I won’t say who was driving. So you’ll have to guess. Eddie was wearing a fabulous suit…beautifully tailored, the sleeves were perfect. He suggested we all curse more often, so absofuckinglument! (He also suggested it be in different languages.) And the guy in the seat next to me during the show had no concept of personal space.

The show was hysterical as usual. Hubby and I saw him during his “Sexie” tour. This was “force majeure”. And et viola! The man looks better in a dress than I do and that still frustrates me. It should inspire me to get more fit, like the lions. The thing I like about Eddie’s comedy (yes, one question allows me to be on a first name basis) is that is intelligent and full of history. You actually get to use your brain. It’s not potty humor (except when the soldiers are pooing on the horses…that really made me laugh and I don’t know why exactly).

Anyhoo, during the Q&A Steph suggested I ask him about entering politics based on an interview with him that I read last week. He did say that he is planning to run for Parliament in 2020 and would be an Al Franken-like politician and so et viola! I was impressed that he could see one so short all the way in the back. I could really only see him by holding up my nexus and watching it on the screen. We took pics with the marquee and I will add one as soon as I can.

And the parking guy was wrong. There. The last word. Subject closed.
